We are a community Archery Club based in Bridgend.
We meet regularly, take part in events and welcome archers of all abilities.

Dear Members, OGMORE VALLEY ARCHERS are starting up again!

Inline with advice we are doing outdoor shooting for full members only, sadly we cannot accommodate new starters yet.

OUTDOOR SHOOTS SUMMER/AUTUMN 2020


BOOKING

  • Sessions are Wed evening, Sat/Sun afternoon
  • Use of the booking App mandatory to control numbers
  • First come booking
  • £5 in advance via Paypal for all ages
  • Families/Bubbled groups welcome
  • 24 hour cancellation notice for 100% refund

RULES

  • Distancing: Keep 2 metres apart
  • Don't touch equipment of people outside your bubble
  • Masks are desirable but not mandatory
  • Be prompt as sessions will not over run
  • No open toed shoes
  • Be prepared for weather: sun/rain
  • Take supplied target home with you, replacement targets £1

  • If a member experiences symptoms highlighted by the Chief Medical Officer, (including a new persistent cough, high temperature or loss of taste/smell) self isolate for 10 days. The same applies if you have come in contact with anyone displaying these symptoms (isolate for 14 days).

ABOUT THE CLUB


We are a community Archery Club based Brackla, Bridgend.

We welcome new members to our club, whether you are a complete novice wanting to learn or a seasoned archer looking for a community of like-minded sports people.

We shoot regularly indoors Sundays 14:00 - 16:00 as well as outdoors during the week.

If your new to the sport, then come along and have a go, we will take you through basic training and all aspects of safety. You don't even need your own bow or arrows, you can make full use of our club equipment.

Mark Nash
Appointed Chairman in March 2019, Mark has been with the club for over 3 years and shoots recurve and compound. He is also an Archery GB accredited trainer and regularly instructs beginners and intermediates at the club.

Vice Chairman & Instructor

Alison
Alison has been with the club since the start and help develop it to where it is today. In 2018 she became the Vice Chair and can always be relied on for her vigour and passion in developing the club and its archers. She is an Archery GB accredited trainer and regularly instructs beginners and intermediates.

Equipment Officer & Instructor

Equipment Officer & Instructor

Martin
Appointed to Equipment Officer in 2018, the club could not run without his dedication and practical know-how. He is an accomplished, award winning archer able to improve even the seasoned archers performance. Martin is an Archery GB accredited trainer as well as Safety Officer.


All our instructors are Archery GB accredited, first aider trained and also trained in working with young and vulnerable people.

There are over a dozen people who make the club a success and help run the the shoots every week. Similarly when it comes to events they wouldn't be the success they are without the club members, their passion and dedication to the growth and good name of the club.
